Supporting the Riverside Community
On 13th October, Elite were privileged to be invited along to a celebration event that marked the arrival of their new accessible minibus.
Elite were happy to make a substantial monetary donation to kick start their fundraising initiatives. In June 2023, after more than 12 months of further fundraising, the school were able to complete the purchase of their specialised minibus that featured a tail lift for wheelchair access so that all students could travel together.

Team Elite complete the ‘Yorkshire Three Peaks’ challenge
On Friday 22nd September, Team Elite took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge, in aid of The Chris Aked Foundation. After an early morning journey from their homes, the team set off from Horton in Ribblesdale at 07:07, to tackle the peaks of Pen-Y-Gent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m). All members completed the challenge, with some finding it physically and mentally exhausting, and others skipping up and down the peaks, relishing in the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Nevertheless, it was an achievement for everyone!

Details of the new temporary tax reliefs
A new super-deduction, in place from April 2021 to March 2023, allows companies to claim 130% capital allowances on new furniture. This will cut a companies’ tax bill by 25p for every pound they invest in office furniture.

Reducing Our Carbon Footprint
As part of our ongoing commitment to the environment, our distribution fleet has been upgraded with the purchase of two brand new 18Tonne trucks with the technology to be the most efficient and #environmentallyfriendly HGVs used.

Smart Energy Grant
As part of our ongoing efforts to reduce our carbon footprint through all operations, we have recently invested in new LED lighting at our sister site at Britannia Way. This initiative was supported by Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire, who offered a grant of £28,468.15 to help us make these changes.
The £8.5million Smart Energy programme has been part funded by the European Regional Development Fund. Enabling small to medium business across the Greater Lincolnshire area to invest in technology that reduces energy consumption and lowers carbon emissions, working towards a greener community.
