Business Development Manager (North)

Elite Office Furniture is a leading British manufacturer of office seating, desking and storage furniture that complement workplace, education and hospitality environments.

 

Operating successfully since 1986, a vacancy has arisen for a Dealer Business Manager to join our sales team, covering the Yorkshire, Lancashire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire territories.

 

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, your role will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of existing customer relationships

  • Building and maintaining strong business relationships with key accounts

  • Understanding and promoting our products

  • Coordinating quotation requests, projects, and orders

  • Maintaining and reporting detailed records of account activity

  • Meeting and exceeding sales goals

  • Developing new relationships within current market and A+D market

  • Contributing to the development of sales strategies

  • Researching competitor activity and trends

  • Providing aftersales support to existing customers, handling customer enquiries and resolving issues effectively

 

We would expect the ideal candidate for this role to have the following experience and skills:

  • Previous experience in a sales role within the office furniture industry preferred

  • Understanding of industry trends and sales strategies

  • Strong communication, critical thinking and presentation skills

  • Proficient use of Word, Excel, Powerpoint

  • A positive attitude to work, offering flexibility and commitment in a fast-paced changing environment

  • Great attention to detail

  • Ability to work to strict deadlines

  • Calmness under pressure

  • Understanding of social media strategies

  • An organised and methodical approach to reporting and administrative duties

  • Valid UK driving license required
