Elite Office Furniture UK Ltd was approached by the BBC One programme DIY SOS:The Big Build to feature in their annual Children In Need fundraising night to donate and install new office furniture, storage units and seating to the Norris Green Youth Centre in Liverpool.

Julian Jowett (Sales Director) and Dean Butler (Dealer Business Manager) of Elite joined BBC's DIY SOS crew, managed by presenter Nick Knowles in undertaking their biggest project to date in renovating this dilapidated 18,000 sq ft youth facility built 52 years ago transforming it into a modern beacon of hope within the community.

This excellent facility now offers young people from the area an equal chance to achieve and gain positive life experiences, broaden their horizons, develop skills, confidence and positive attitudes that will equip them to deal with a complex, fast changing world and provide a pathway to further education, employment and active community citizenship.

The location of the youth centre is based in one of the most deprived areas of Liverpool, it is in an area of high unemployment, high crime and gang violence.
